Attentive Safety offers the AHA PALS Renewal course for current PALS Providers who need to renew their PALS skills and unexpired PALS Provider course completion card in Marietta, Georgia.
PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.
The PALS Renewal course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.

PALS Renewal Testing and Exam Requirements

  • 50 question exam (Must score at least 84%)
  • Child CPR and AED Skills Test

  • PALS Case Scenario Test 1- Cardiac

Mandatory Precourse Self-Assessment and Precourse Work Requirements

  • All students must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment and achieve a score of at least 70% before taking the PALS Course.
  • Once a student has passed the Precourse Self-Assessment, they will gain access to the Precourse Work video lessons.
  • All video lessons must be reviewed before entering the classroom.
  • Students must print their successful Precourse Self-Assessment completion certificate and bring it with them to class.

Marietta, Georgia PALS Provider Card

PALS Renewal is a credentialed course.
Providers who successfully complete the PALS course receive a course completion card valid for two years.

Times are based on a recommended ratio of 6 students to 1 Instructor to 1 manikin.
PALS ILT Update Course: 8 hours and 15 minutes without breaks

Who Needs PALS Certification?

Attentive Safety CPR and Safety Training's PALS Renewal course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients.

These requirements are driven by state licensing board regulations and detail which particular healthcare agencies or individual healthcare license holders that are required to maintain PALS Provider certification. This class can also be taken by medical professionals or students in a medical program who are interested in expanding their knowledge.

Continuing Education Credits for EMS Professionals

Attentive Safety CPR and Safety Training is now able to offer Continuing Education credits through CAPCE (Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education) for EMS professionals. This continuing education activity is approved by the American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), for 2.25 Basic CEHs, activity number 18-AMHA-F2-0001.
