Course Overview:
Our instructor-led, hands-on class format with an American Red Cross Instructor ensures that you receive the highest quality training. We are dedicated to equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary to respond effectively to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies for both adults and children.

To register for the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course, please complete the online registration form. Payment is required at least 24 hours prior to the class to secure your spot. Course Content: Our Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED program covers the following essential modules:

1. First Aid
2. CPR (Adult/Child/Infant)
3. AED (Adult/Child/Infant)

Certification Requirements: To earn your Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification, you must:

• Attend all class sessions.
• Actively participate in all course activities.
• Demonstrate competency in all required skills.
• Successfully complete the "Putting It All Together" Assessment Scenarios.

Course Length: The course duration ranges from 3 hours and 45 minutes to 4 hours and 15 minutes. The exact length depends on factors such as participant-to-instructor ratio and equipment recommendations.

Certificate Validity: Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive your Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification card on the same day. Your certification will be valid for two years.

Course Objectives: Throughout the course, you will learn to:

• Recognize emergencies and assess the scene.
• Activate and work with the emergency medical services (EMS) system.
• Understand legal concepts for lay responders.
• Reduce the risk of disease transmission during care.
• Assess responsive and unresponsive individuals.
• Recognize and provide first aid care for various conditions, including heart attacks, choking, shock, and more.
• Perform CPR and use automated external defibrillators (AEDs) during cardiac arrest.
• Control external bleeding and use tourniquets when necessary.
• Handle injuries such as burns, fractures, and head, neck, and spinal injuries.
• Respond to environmental injuries and illnesses like heat and cold-related conditions.
