Family and Friends CPR Course Description
Attentive Safety CPR and Safety Training's CPR for New & Expecting Parents is a Family & Friends CPR class that is tailored for new and expecting parents and caregivers. Accommodations are made in the class for expecting parents to make learning a life-saving skill a comfortable experience. Parents and caregivers of young infants and children can bring them along to the class. Breaks are taken as needed for nursing mothers, diaper changes and tending to the needs of our children. Course information includes infant, child & adult CPR, using an AED, relief of choking for infants, children & adults, child car seat safety, and several first aid topics. This program does not lead to CPR or First Aid certification, but is designed specifically for new parents to be prepared for what to do in an emergency.
This video-based, classroom course teaches the following topics:
Family and Friends CPR Course Audience
Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.
This course does not offer an AHA course completion card. However, students receive a “tear-out” participation card with their Family & Friends CPR Student Manual.
