BLS Instructor Course Highlights

  • Cost: $500.00 (Payment required at least 24 hours in advance). Duration: Approximately 5 hours, including hands-on practice and testing.

Blended Learning Format
The BLS Instructor Course is delivered through a blended learning approach, combining online and in-person training: AHA BLS Instructor Essentials Online: Self-paced online course covering instructor cycle components: Prepare, Teach, Test & Remediate, Close, and Keep Current. Includes course-specific teaching strategies and core instructional skills. Approximately 2 hours to complete. In-Person Training: Hands-on session conducted by AHA Training Center Faculty to refine teaching techniques and skills. Includes skills practice, testing, and interactive instruction.

Requirements for Certification
To earn your AHA BLS Instructor Certification, candidates must: Be accepted by an AHA Training Center and have a completed application on file. Hold a current AHA BLS Provider Course Completion Card. Successfully complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online Course. Complete the hands-on session conducted by AHA Training Center Faculty. Successfully complete the course monitoring process.
