Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector Course DescriptionAttentive Safety's Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector Course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to handle an anaphylaxis emergency. The course covers five learning objectives.

Second, they will differentiate between a mild allergic reaction and a severe (anaphylactic) reaction, which is critical for identifying when an emergency response is necessary. Third, students will learn to apply the Emergency Action Steps to an anaphylaxis emergency, which involves taking quick and effective action to save the life of the affected person. Fourth, students will identify the steps for administering an epinephrine auto-injector, which is a medical device used to deliver a dose of epinephrine (adrenaline) to the person experiencing anaphylaxis. Finally, the course will teach students how to store and maintain an epinephrine auto-injector to ensure it is ready for use in an emergency. By the end of the course, students should feel confident in their ability to recognize, respond to, and manage an anaphylaxis emergency, including the use of an epinephrine auto-injector like the EpiPen®.
